The Baltimore Dance Crews Project has accepted the challenge! Help us raise $25,000 by June 2, 2017 and the Robert W. Deutsch Foundation will match your contribution. We are #MOVINGTOGETHER. Move with us!
4.5.17 – Our Match Challenge officially launched with an announcement at our Spring Opener hosted at Open Works Baltimore.
We seek to surround every student with a community of positive influencers who include their peers, college students, young professionals, and their families. A community that fosters healthy minds and bodies and develops relationships that help our students choose their own trajectory.
Our Saturday program serves 53 Baltimore City students from grades 5 through 12. The program has grown to three youth teams and a young professionals dance company. Students receive training in dance, perform throughout the East Coast (and internationally), and develop skills to lead hip-hop dance workshops and clubs at schools across Baltimore. How your contribution helps?
$25 – Supports a student for one month of dance workshops
$150 – Provides a school a high quality dance workshop
$200 – Supports a dance team member for one season
$700 – Helps two students perform internationally
$2500 – Supports a teaching artist for 8-week program
$5000 – Provides an end of season concert
From graduate students to engineers, our young professionals dance company supports our Saturday programs through academic assistance, artistic enrichment, career exposure, and emotional and physical wellness. Known as the BDCP Collective, the group is growing from 12 to 20 dancers. Each dancer embodies our mission to initiate and strengthen relationships that support youth from school to career. How your contribution helps?
$100 – Supports an enrichment outing for one mentor group
$250 – Supports a month of rehearsal space
$1000 – Provides training to all mentors for the season
April 5, 2017 – June 3, 2017
